Baby Gear Rental for Airbnb Stays: Cribs, Strollers & Delivery Explained

You have found a place with enough bedrooms, a kitchen for breakfast and somewhere to sit after the kids are asleep. Now comes the part the listing photos may not answer: where will your baby sleep, and how much equipment do you really need to bring?

Baby gear rental for an Airbnb stay can take a crib, stroller or high chair off your packing list. The key is to find out what your host provides, choose the pieces your family will use and arrange delivery around your arrival. This guide walks through those details so you can make the arrangements before you are standing at the front door with tired children and a car full of luggage.

If you already know what you need, check your destination ZIP code with Rents4Baby to get started.

Airbnb is adding baby gear rentals. What does that mean for your trip?

In its September 30, 2026 fall update, Airbnb announced a partnership with BabyQuip, scheduled to begin in November 2026 in more than 60 U.S. cities. The announcement includes delivery and setup of baby equipment and a 10% discount for Airbnb guests. Families should check the participating service for availability and the offer’s terms.

You can also book baby equipment directly with a rental company that serves your destination. Rents4Baby accepts separate equipment reservations for vacation rental stays in the areas we serve. You choose your gear and dates, then coordinate delivery with your local Rental Partner, the person handling your rental.

Rents4Baby is independent of Airbnb and BabyQuip. The discount announced by Airbnb does not apply to Rents4Baby reservations.

Ask your host what is actually in the house

Before you reserve a crib, ask the host what they mean by “crib.” It might be a full-size crib, a folding crib or a portable travel bed. Ask for the brand and model, what comes with it and, if the listing is unclear, a photo. That is more useful than a simple yes or no.

The same goes for a high chair or stroller. Knowing which items are available helps you avoid paying for something the house already has, or arriving to find that an item does not suit your child.

Here is a message you can adapt:

Hi! We are planning our stay with a young child and checking what we need to bring. Could you tell us the type or model of crib and high chair at the property, and what is included with the crib? We may have baby equipment delivered. Are there any delivery restrictions, stairs or gate access details we should know about? Please also let us know whether someone can receive a delivery or whether we will need to be there. Thank you!

If you are considering a full-size crib, check that there is room for it in the bedroom you plan to use. Product dimensions, doorway widths and stairs are worth sorting out before delivery day.

Choose gear around your family’s daily routine

Start with the sleeping arrangements

If the accommodation does not have a suitable crib or travel bed, make that your first rental decision. Browse cribs and travel beds, check the dimensions and confirm what is included with the specific item. Choose equipment that fits your child’s age and size, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Think about when you will need it, too. If your flight lands in the afternoon and bedtime follows soon after check-in, talk through the delivery plan before booking. An evening arrival leaves less room for a missed handoff.

Pick a stroller for the days you have planned

A stroller that works well for walks near the house may not be the one you want to fold into a small rental car several times a day. Consider your transportation, storage space and how much walking is on the itinerary. With two children, compare a double stroller with your usual arrangement at home.

Review the size and features of the available strollers. If your trip includes a theme park, check that park’s current stroller rules before choosing. Also think through the airport: equipment delivered to your accommodation will not be available for the walk from your arrival gate to baggage claim.

Add the things you will use every day

A high chair can be especially helpful when you plan to eat breakfast or dinner at the rental. For other equipment, look at your routine at home and the length of your stay. What would you miss every day? What could you comfortably leave out for a weekend?

Build your list from those answers, then cross off anything your host already provides. If you are looking at a bundle, compare its contents with your list before deciding whether it is the right fit.

Arrange delivery around check-in, naps and checkout

The delivery address is only part of the plan. Your host’s check-in time, your travel schedule and the property’s access rules all need to work together.

For example, if check-in is at 4 p.m. but your flight arrives at noon, ask where and when the equipment can be received. Your host may be able to help, but permission to enter early should never be assumed. Let your Rental Partner know about gates, stairs, parking restrictions and any front-desk requirements.

Rents4Baby delivery and pickup use two-hour windows. Confirm who will receive the equipment and how you will coordinate if travel plans change. Delivery before you arrive depends on host permission, property access and arrangements with your Rental Partner.

Give pickup the same attention. If checkout is at 10 a.m., discuss a plan that works with that deadline. Ask whether the host or property manager can receive the pickup if needed, and agree on where the equipment will be collected. Do not leave it behind without confirmed arrangements.

Rents4Baby’s delivery fee includes delivery and pickup at the end of the rental. Setup is available in some locations, so ask about your destination and selected equipment. Car-seat installation is not offered.

Look at the total cost for your stay

When comparing baby gear rentals, use the same dates, delivery address and type of equipment. A lower daily rate or a discount does not tell you the final amount you will pay.

Check the equipment subtotal, minimum rental charge, delivery and pickup fees, cleaning or service fees, any protection charges and applicable taxes. If you are using a discount, see which charges qualify. Read the cancellation and refund terms as well, particularly if your accommodation or travel dates may change.

Rents4Baby has a three-day minimum rental charge. You can rent for one or two days, but the rental charge is based on three days. Include the full period you need the equipment when selecting your dates, and review the total shown before reserving. The rental FAQs cover common booking and delivery questions.

A few questions parents often have

Can I rent a crib for an Airbnb without booking through Airbnb?

Yes. You can reserve directly with Rents4Baby for a property within our delivery area. The equipment reservation is separate from your accommodation booking. Check the destination ZIP code and item availability, then coordinate property access with your host.

Can I reserve gear before I have the final street address?

Rents4Baby allows “TBD” in the delivery address at checkout, with the final address provided to your Rental Partner later. Check the intended destination ZIP code first. If you change accommodations, confirm that the new address is covered and whether the delivery arrangements need to change.

Will the crib be waiting inside when we arrive?

That needs to be arranged in advance. Your host must permit access, and your Rental Partner must be able to accommodate the delivery and any requested setup. Confirm the details before relying on an arrival-ready room.

What should I do before placing the order?

Confirm what your host supplies, review the specifications of the items you want, and make sure your delivery and pickup plans fit the property’s check-in and checkout times. Then check the complete order total and cancellation terms.

Get the essentials sorted before you leave

You do not need to recreate the entire nursery for a family trip. A suitable place to sleep, a practical stroller and somewhere for your child to sit at meals may cover much of your routine. Once those details are arranged, you can turn your attention to the rest of the trip.

Check Rents4Baby delivery coverage for your destination, then choose the equipment and rental dates that work for your family.
